Engagement:Irvine/Montage

I could go on and on about this girl…you all know her as my go-to model, the girl I call when I need someone to shoot to try out my new camera, or my new lens. Or to scope out a new location.  Whatever the reason may be, she never fails me. NEVER.

Well, here we are. My girl is engaged and she is basically the happiest person I know. And I only wish her the best.

Here are my favs from Jenny and Kris’ engagement session. We started off with their gorgeous apartment complex…

Wedding : La Jolla, San Diego

I love La Jolla. I love outdoor weddings. I love purple and turqoise. I love relaxed, beautiful brides. I love kind, handsome grooms. I love people in love.

I basically enjoyed every bit of Saturday’s La Jolla wedding. How can I not? Wanna see proof?

Well…

Let me start off with a gorgeous pair of purple shoes for the bride…

October 12, 2009 - 6:51 am sakura - Thanks, Jackie! Galen-yes, it's a girl thing. Get used to it!

October 9, 2009 - 10:40 pm Galen - Are the shots of the bride's shoes, a girl thing? I don't get it...

Go Shawty…It’s your birthday!

Guess who’s 28? Late twenties? ME! And like every Southern California resident, I headed to the Happiest Place on Earth. I’m sure you’re sick of looking at Disneyland photos from everyone’s FB posts, but this is MY time. ME. MOI. So here they are…enjoy!

October 12, 2009 - 8:45 pm Jimmy - I look like such a dork! Sakura wouldn't even get mouse ears like she promised!

October 6, 2009 - 10:16 pm Galen - Did you get a birthday princess crown?

Novelty

I’ve been to Vegas so many times, and have done the same things…buffet, gamble, shop, hotel hop…and while these things are fun and enjoyable, I have always wanted to do something different…perhaps away from the strip.

…and that is exactly what we did last weekend. Instead of rolling out of bed and wandering endlessly through the hotel, Jimmy, Josh, Alyssa and I got in our car and headed for Waffles Cafe.

To my surprise, Waffles Cafe was totally different from what I imagined. I imaged a little IHOP, with a waiteress and a lovely menu. What I walked into was a small shop, with 5 tables and a menu on the wall. And the food…the food was light, crunchy and absolutely delicious! Jimmy ordered a turkey sandwich, Josh ordered ham and bacon, Alyssa ordered fruit, and I ordered Hawaiian pizza. Here are some pics…

After our breakfast, we stopped by the Red Rock Casino and then drove over to the set of PawnStars.

Untitled-109

Of course, we had to hit the bar. We chose Parasol Down at the Wynn. They have crazy shows (literally) every half hour. Don’t believe me? Here’s proof.

Can’t wait to go back and explore more!

October 1, 2009 - 6:52 am sakura - 1. I highly doubt it...first of all, the place is called Waffle's Cafe, not the Waffle House (which I also went on my way to New Orleans). The Waffle's Cafe has more of a Boba Loca feel, if you know what I mean! 2. Red Rock is awesome! 3. Yum indeed...I'm going to SD this weekend. You know I'll be thinking about you when I bite into my California burrito!

October 1, 2009 - 2:57 am jean - 1. Is the waffle house the place that was on Man vs. Food? 2. I really like Red Rock Casino!! 3. Yum!!

September 30, 2009 - 7:35 pm Galen - Woah! Parasol down ehh?

September 30, 2009 - 1:43 pm Adrienne Gunde - Whoa, that really is crazy! Looks like a fun time!

Sakura Photography : Gift Card

Believe it or not, the holiday season is just around the corner. Here in Torrance, Halloween costume stores are popping up in every possible corner, and Target has already cleared out their back-to-school section for orange and yellow candies. Well, I’m happy to announce that Sakura Photography now have gift cards! You can purchase these for your families, friends, co-workers, gym instructor, your child’s teacher…basically anybody for any price. The amount on the card is totally up to you. You can pay for a sitting fee, a CD, a canvas print…anything you want, in any combination. Cool, huh?
