Cousins : Delthorne Park

Last time I saw this little guy, he wasn’t able to sit up. We put him on his tummy and hoped that he would lift his head up…even for just a second. He was tiny, helpless, and truly a baby.

Now Little E is full of personality, handsome, and charming. I am so blessed to be able to capture my client’s growth and document a portion of their lives. And as if that’s not enough, Little E’s adorable cousins joined us for the session and I could not be happier. Thank you!

Here are my favs…isn’t he handsome!?

Trash the Dress

It took me only one visit to the bridal store to get my dress. To be exact, it was the third dress I tried and after that, I knew that I didn’t need to look any further. I was so excited and couldn’t wait for the wedding day to come.

I know brides spend a great deal looking for that perfect dress, your dream dress, and the way you feel when you find the ONE is indescribable. So, when I first heard of trash the dress, I didn’t really know how to react. You purposely ruin your dress? You what?! Go in the ocean? Sit on top of a dumpster? Wash your car with the dress ON? Sit on train tracks!?

Totally crazy. Almost insane. A complete waste of money. RIGHT?

WRONG!! The real waste is my wedding dress, hung in my closet, never to be worn again. Really. My husband cringes every time he sees my dress, which takes up more than half of my closet space. Oh, and the veils (I had three). And the tiara. And the shoes. And then I started thinking. How long is this thing going to sit in my closet? Forever? Am I wishing that one day, my daughter is going to walk down the aisle in my dress?

Well, now I wish that I did a trash the dress session for myself.

To my past, present, and future brides…here are some images from a photog shootout session I did in San Clemente. I would love to do a trash the dress session with you…let me know if you are interested!

To start off, here are some pre-trashing images…

Not Your Ordinary Soccer Game

Last Friday after work, I told Jimmy, I feel like going karaoke. I just want to yell and scream, and singing is the best excuse. Well, unfortunately, we ended up going home to help my parents scan some photos. I was totally bummed out and went to bed with this muggy feeling in my chest.

On Saturday, Jimmy and I woke up bright and early and headed out to watch Ryan’s soccer game. And oh boy, did I scream. I think I screamed through the whole game…and I don’t know a thing about soccer. You probably could have heard me from a mile away…Go RYAN! RUN!!! KICK THE BALL!! PUSH HIM OVER! Well…not the push him over part….I think. Either way, I got my scream on, and that’s all it matters.

I loved every bit of the game. And even though Ryan is not the best player, he’s definitely my favorite…always.

For the second half of the game, Ryan was the goalie.

…and this is what he basically did. Well…a little more, but pretty much sat and watched.

I can’t wait for the next game! I’ll be out there as Ryan’s personal cheerleader. Woot woot!!

October 21, 2009 - 3:44 am Galen - I HATED being the goalie! I liked running over the kids instead :)
