I’ve been to Vegas so many times, and have done the same things…buffet, gamble, shop, hotel hop…and while these things are fun and enjoyable, I have always wanted to do something different…perhaps away from the strip.

…and that is exactly what we did last weekend. Instead of rolling out of bed and wandering endlessly through the hotel, Jimmy, Josh, Alyssa and I got in our car and headed for Waffles Cafe.

To my surprise, Waffles Cafe was totally different from what I imagined. I imaged a little IHOP, with a waiteress and a lovely menu. What I walked into was a small shop, with 5 tables and a menu on the wall. And the food…the food was light, crunchy and absolutely delicious! Jimmy ordered a turkey sandwich, Josh ordered ham and bacon, Alyssa ordered fruit, and I ordered Hawaiian pizza. Here are some pics…

After our breakfast, we stopped by the Red Rock Casino and then drove over to the set of PawnStars.

Of course, we had to hit the bar. We chose Parasol Down at the Wynn. They have crazy shows (literally) every half hour. Don’t believe me? Here’s proof.

Can’t wait to go back and explore more!

October 1, 2009 - 6:52 am sakura - 1. I highly doubt it...first of all, the place is called Waffle's Cafe, not the Waffle House (which I also went on my way to New Orleans). The Waffle's Cafe has more of a Boba Loca feel, if you know what I mean! 2. Red Rock is awesome! 3. Yum indeed...I'm going to SD this weekend. You know I'll be thinking about you when I bite into my California burrito!

October 1, 2009 - 2:57 am jean - 1. Is the waffle house the place that was on Man vs. Food? 2. I really like Red Rock Casino!! 3. Yum!!

September 30, 2009 - 7:35 pm Galen - Woah! Parasol down ehh?

September 30, 2009 - 1:43 pm Adrienne Gunde - Whoa, that really is crazy! Looks like a fun time!
