Engagement : Laguna Beach

My favs from yesterday’s Engagment shoot at the Montage in Laguna Beach. Despite the gloomy weather, we were able to catch the last of the beautiful sunset.

Enjoy!

Little Ballerina

Quick post from last week’s photo shoot with my favorite little girl. Believe it or  not, I made the tutu myself…inspired by Little T. Creating the tutu was actually a pretty fun process…I might just get addicted!

Here are my favs!

You’re Herrre!

Hi, and welcome to my new and totally-cool customized blog! Not only do I now have a blog with larger image with easy navigation, I HAVE A LOGO! Yup, after 3 years in business I finally have a logo. And you know the coolest part? It was designed by the oh-so-talented Alyssa Zukas. In addition to designing for Urban Outfitters, she worked on Nikka Costa’s tour shirts, owns her own line of jewerly, and now, she could add to her list: designing Sakura Photography’s logo. Ha!

Wanna meet her? I know you do…

Don’t you just love her shoes? She designed and created them herself!

The light was just perfect!

So…to celebrate my new logo, I will be giving out a free session to the 5th person who comments on this post. Let me know what you think of the logo, the new blog, etc. Be sure to leave a valid e-mail address, since that would be the only way for me to contact you!

Sequioa National Park

I started to write about our trip to the Sequoia National Park, but realized that it would be much easier to share the experience in a photo diary. So, here we go…

Friday
4:00 pm : Leave LA
11:00pm : Arrive at Sequoia National Park, realized that the rain was pouring down, turned around and found a lodge. *It was an old Holiday Inn*

Saturday
8:00am : Wake up, shower, eat
10:30am : Arrive at the camp site. Totally surprised to see snow on the ground.
11:00am : Took the shuttle to the General Sherman, Meadow, Tharp’s Log
12:00pm : Hail, rain, etc
4:00 pm : Reunited with our friends!
COYOTE SIGHTING!
4:30 pm : Dinner (Korean BBQ, Cobbler, alcohol)
12:00am : Bedtime!

Korean BBQ time! This was when we saw a coyote about 10 feet away STARING AT US. I guess it’s not the smartest thing to cook meat in the wild.

Sunday
9:00am : Wake up
9:15am : Breakfast (Banana/Jelly Bean/Blueberry/Peanut Butter Pancakes)
10:30am: Pack up
BEAR SIGHTING!
11:00am: Hike up Moro Rock
1:00pm : Crystal Cove
DEER SIGHTING!

Images from our hike up Moro Rock

This was a pretty scary sight

Me and Suk’s signature pose *WOW* at the top of Moro Rock

The whole gang, thanks to our handy dandy wide angle lens!

Images from the inside of the cave. Pretty, huh?

Always a kid..I was scared the park rangers were going to yell at him.

I’m so glad we went and didn’t back out! Thanks for inviting us!

Toothless and Proud

I don’t quite remember when I first lost my tooth, or what I did with it. All I know is that I was probably very excited and proud, just like Little B.

Check him out

Ha! I love how Little B is sticking his tongue out of the hole.
