Throughout the week, there are many times I stop and think, I am blessed. Blessed to have job, blessed to have a caring family, and blessed to have lots of amazing, loving friends. Last Sunday, my co-workers threw me a baby shower and I had so much fun! We played tons of fun games, and had the best food EVER. It was so nice to see everyone OUTSIDE of work and be able to laugh out loud without worrying about our time controlled by the school bell.
Jimmy came by at the very end to help load all the gifts into the car. When we unpacked at home, I looked at all that were given to us and thought, we are so blessed.
Thank you to all my co-workers. I had a great time!

Good morning!
Just wanted to let all my blog readers know that I will be on maternity leave (!) for September and most of October. Please e-mail me asap if you are looking for any portrait sessions (high school senior, maternity, newborn, family, etc) for July and August.
I will also be limiting holiday sessions in November and December. If you are interested, please let me know now so I can contact you once I am ready. Thank you!
…and because a post is not complete without images, here are photos of the World of Color dinner at Ariel’s Grotto. Enjoy!

We got some grilled veggie/chesse appetizer platter

For the entree…Jimmy got Grilled Redfish and I got a bowl of Cioppino with tons of seafood

And of course, the best for last. The DESSERT!!

On Saturday, July 3rd, Jimmy and I had the opportunity to photograph a gorgeous and unique wedding at the Natural History Museum. If you have been following my blog, you know Josh and Alyssa. Well, after over an year of planning, they are finally married! And needless to say, they got married with a style. The venue was absolutely beautiful and every single detail was carefully planned.
I’m going to start off with Alyssa’s wedding dress…which she made herself!

Even their wedding rings were creative…can you see Alyssa’s ring? It has a porcelin dove!

The venue. OH THE VENUE! The couple & the dedicated set up crew hand-created the beautiful tissue flowers!

Peek-a-boo! A view from between T-Rex’s legs!

Sealing the deal!

After the ceremony, we got FULL ACCESS to the museum!

LOVE this little guy! He’s absolutely handsome with lots and lots of smiles. What more can you ask?

It’s been over 3 years since I’ve started my photography business. In the beginning, I was afraid and uncertain. All I had were my ambition and my eagerness to learn and soak every information. My husband (then boyfriend) was my biggest supporter and I remember coming home crying after what I thought were horrible sessions. Since then, I have attended countless workshops, conventions, mentoring sessions and photographer meet-ups. To this day, everytime I think that I’ve mastered a skill or a technique, I am constantly humbled by the work of other photographers, and I am thankful for their willingness to teach.
Last weekend, I had the opportunity to join a bunch of photographers for a Shoot Out in Fullerton. The shoot started around 4pm and focused on using off camera flash. Unfortunately, I didn’t have my flash with me (being pregnant can cause you to be very forgetful), so I took the opportunity to practice my sun flares and rim lights. I learned a lot by watching fellow photographers pose the models, and play with the lighting. Here are my favs…
