Girl’s Day

Every year on March 3rd, my family and I celebrate Girl’s Day. On Girl’s Day, people in Japan decorate their homes and prepare special dishes to wish healthy growth and happiness to their daughters.

I’m 28 years old, and my mom still decorates the house with dolls and offerings. I think i’ts cute that she does this and I am thankful. Here is a photo of my dolls, purchased by my grandma so many years ago.

…and here’s a photo of the Lego version of the dolls, made by one of the high school students from church. Thanks, Eli!!
