I LOVE photographing 6 month olds. I’m going to take a risk and say it’s my favorite age. 6 month old babies are usually able to sit up but not run around, which means that I can just plop myself and shoot. I also LOVE how they are so curious and ready to explore the world.
Little K was especially fun to photograph because he was full of smiles. Here are my favs…

Don’t you just love baby toes?

Playing with daddy…

…and mommy

Until next time…
It all started with a couple of sour peaches. Last week, I came back from the oh-so-famous Torrance Farmers Market with a bag of peaches, strawberries, blueberries, and a pineapple. I was excited for my purchases and was ready to start my oh-so-healthy lifestyle. After a few days, I decided to have the peaches with my bowl of cereal. And guess what? They were sour. As in NO flavor. None.
So, what am I to do? I put on a smile and gave it to my husband. Told him, you need to start eating more fruit. And guess what? He took a bite and walked away. Whhhhhhhaaaaaaat? How dare he walk away from fresh peaches! Then I heard him sing. It was the Bill Nye theme song.
Bill Nye the Science Guy…Bill! Bill! Bill! Bill!
And then it hit me. I remembered watching one of the endless Bill Nye video at work (thanks to my co-worker) that talked about trash. Yup. Trash. And how packaging is wasteful. Why buy individual cereal boxes when you can buy one large cereal box and save on packaging? Why buy individual yogurt cups when they sell large ones and you can scoop out some for yourself?
So how does this all come together? Well, I made a smoothie. I dumped the sour peaches, along with bananas, and the blueberries (they were going bad) and mixed it with yogurt. Yogurt from the big container. No more wasting fruit, and I’m done buying individual yogurt cups.

Oh…and it totally helps that my smoothies are so yummy!
I know Auntie Patty is SO excited to see these photos, so without further adieu…
Adorable Little A

Too cute! This was when he was playing peek-a-boo! with me

Who knew slides were so much fun? Little A’s smile is proof that you don’t need any high-tech toys to satisfy a child.

Teeny Tiny M at 19 weeks old….

This was one of those engagement sessions where as soon as we got in the car to leave, Jimmy and I looked at each other and giggled. Giggled from the excitement to photograph their wedding in October, and because we knew that T and J were the kind of people we like to photograph. Fun, care-free, stylish, playful and loving. I can’t wait for their wedding!
This is their fun side.

Bringing it in tight!

This is their “stylish” side. Totally rockin’ it!

…still rockin’ it…

This is their playful side.

This is their loving side.

T & J – hope you had fun as much as we did! See you in beautiful La Jolla!

Last Saturday, I was able to witness Baby J’s beautiful baptism ceremony. It was amazing to see all the family and friends come out to celebrate and welcome J’s arrival. I was lucky to be hired to photograph the event and the get-together afterwards.
Here are some totally ah-mazing details…

They had the most beautiful candy/desert display!
